Interview
Q1.What challenges did your previous system have?
Our legacy system built over 20 years ago had reached its limits. Reports from stores were paper-based, and consolidation at headquarters sometimes took 3 days. Also, different operations were being conducted at each store, and data reliability was also an issue.
Q2.How did Be A Racer approach this?
What surprised me was their thorough interviews with on-site staff before development. I had an image of IT companies prioritizing technology, but Be A Racer carefully listened to store managers and employees to create 'a system that actually works on-site.' As a result, there was almost no resistance after implementation, and the transition was smooth.
Q3.How has data utilization changed?
Real-time sales data visualization dramatically improved decision-making speed at headquarters. Furthermore, AI-powered demand forecasting enabled order optimization, reducing food waste by about 25%. Achieving both environmental consideration and operational efficiency is a significant achievement.
We are grateful to Be A Racer for practicing the obvious—'listening to on-site voices.' We plan to work together on implementing self-checkout across all stores next.
